The role of women
Within religion, many women have experienced a substantial amount of discrimination. Let's take a look at Christianity. 1 Co 7:39 "The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord." (The Bible, n.d.)This explains that women are not permitted to divorce their husbands, however, it is perfectly deemed acceptable should the tables be turned. Where is this within the bible?
